
Long Beach Community Action Partnership’s Community Advocacy and Family Services Department (CAFS) Department’s role is to assist Low income individuals and families by providing supportive services, training opportunities, one-day workshops, access to a social service benefits calculator, volunteer income tax assistance (VITA), community resources and referrals. The CAFS Dept. works with a variety of educational institutions, public and nonprofit organizations, as well as local businesses to ensure that recruitment, enrollment, educational enhancement and placement services meet the needs of the residents from Long Beach and its surrounding cities.
The CAFS’ Department’s ultimate goal is to identify community resources and essential services that will move those individuals and families towards self- sustainability.
