Description:

The Gas Company offers no-cost weatherization and repair or replacement services for qualified limited-income customers.  These services include:

  • Ceiling insulation
  • Door weather-stripping
  • Caulking
  • Low flow shower heads
  • Water heater blankets
  • Evaporative cooler covers and A/C covers
  • Switch and outlet gaskets and covers
  • Pipe insulation
  • Faucet aerators
  • Minor repairs to exterior doors and/or windows
  • Energy Education
  • Furnace repair or replacement services (homeowners only)

Eligibility:

You must be a customer of the Southern California Gas Company to receive services through this program.  Eligibility for this program is income-based:

4 $43,200
5 $50,600
For Each Additional Member Add $7,400

When counting income, all sources of taxable and non-taxable income are used (including but not limited to child support, rental income, disability or veteran’s benefits, Social Security and pensions).  Southern California Gas Company customers who receive TANF, Food Stamps, Medi-Cal, WIC, LIHEAP or Healthy Families Plan A or B are automatically eligible for DAP services, regardless of total household income.  Those who are automatically eligible must still complete the application and assessment process to receive services.
