Public Access Television Returns to Long Beach!
The Long Beach Public Access Digital Network’s (PADNET) mission is to empower Long Beach residents with quality resources to create and share locally produced news, information and entertainment that fosters community pride and civic engagement.
Any Long Beach resident can become a member and utilize our facilities to access quality media training and all the tools necessary to produce locally created television programs – by and for the City of Long Beach.
TO BECOME A MEMBER:
1. Attend a free PADNET orientation
2. Fill out the membership form and sign the Statement of Compliance form (available here and at the Orientation)
3. You can sign up for a membership at orientation or you can bring us your completed forms with a check or money order (no cash, please!) made out to: Long Beach Community Action Partnership
Do you live outside of Long Beach but still want to submit content to PADNET? You can have a member of PADNET “sponsor” the content for you. The member would be submitting the content as if it were their own, assuming all responsibility and liability. This arrangement is between the individual member producer and the person who wishes to submit content. PADNET does not arrange sponsorships. Member generated content has scheduling priority over member “sponsored” content.
INTERNSHIP AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
A community television station is not just about producing media; it is about building community. Volunteers and interns are an important part of this! Please contact us at info@padnet.tv for more information.
Stay tuned for the launch of our website where you will be able to do
everything online – sign up for classes, become a member, reserve equipment and more!
